Our Curriculum

At Hallbankgate Village School, we aim to develop the skills, attitudes and learning habits needed for success in an ever-changing world.  It is our vision to support children to be curious and confident learners with the necessary skills and attributes to live happy, successful and fulfilled lives.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum; embedding the principles of ‘Building Learning Power’ so that we motivate, engage and stretch children to become resilient, resourceful and reflective individuals.

Our curriculum enables children to develop excellent communication skills so that they make an effective contribution to the school community and work confidently with other children and adults in the local community and the wider world.

Our Curriculum Summary

We were extremely proud to be awarded a Gold Award for learning in July 2014, followed by the Platinum  Award for learning in 2019- the first school in the country to be achieve this.  We continue to build on these achievements; taking part in action research projects to explore and develop learning within our own school as well as working in partnership with other schools.
